found herself back in the plaza, standing beside the Heartstone. Mira and Kiran
were there too, both looking shaken but unharmed.
“You did it,”
Mira said, her voice trembling with relief.
“You
too?” Rhea asked.
“We each
had our own trial,” Kiran said, his usual bravado tempered by something deeper.
“But let’s just say it wasn’t a walk in the park.”
Selan
appeared, its crystalline form radiating approval. “You have passed the first
trial. The courage you displayed was not just bravery but the ability to face
fear and overcome it. Prepare yourselves, for the next trial will test the
depth of your curiosity.”
