Chapter 21: Wonders of the
Abyss
With the
shadows vanquished, the chamber transformed. The carvings on the pillars glowed
brighter, revealing intricate depictions of the Luminal Realm’s history. They
showed the creation of the Heartstone, the rise of the Guardians, and the
sealing of the Abyss.
In the
center of the chamber, where the pool of darkness had been, a pedestal rose.
Upon it sat a small, radiant orb that pulsed with golden light.
“What is
that?” Kiran asked, stepping closer.
“It’s a
fragment of the seal,” Mira said, her voice filled with awe. “One of the pieces
keeping the Abyss contained.”
Selan’s
voice echoed in their minds. “You have proven your unity and your strength.
This fragment will restore part of the Abyssal seal, but others remain
scattered in the depths. Your journey is far from over.”
Rhea
reached out and took the fragment. The moment her fingers touched it, a surge
of energy coursed through her, and the shard around her neck glowed brighter.
Mira and Kiran’s shards responded in kind, their light intertwining.
